“Aurora…………..the 2nd coming” Hmm wondering what an unusual title and the inspiration behind it? Let’s settle that curiosity of yours:
Aurora signifies the dawn after Sunset.
Informed by the fact that despite the global challenges in the world today, greatly impacted by the Covid influence, the war in Ukraine, the general economic meltdown; Nigeria is not spared in it all. An experience one could term as Sunset; it is our considered view, that despite what one might allude to some form of Sunset, the day still breaks and with it comes freshness and hope………..hence our Title; “Aurora”.
With this in our minds, we should all still proceed with our pursuits with vigor, confident that in the end, it will all yield to brightness at the end of the day. The Paintings at the Exhibition all speak to this.
Where does the 2nd coming fit into all this then?
Several years ago Brilliant Brush Gallery encountered similar circumstances in the global world and found it worthy of engagement and actually did then. History repeating itself again, they found it worthy and significant enough of re-engagement.
Hence the “2nd coming”.
